For this collab, discover a new style of western belt never seen in our collections until now. Crossing the Rio Grande for the first time, this piece is our version of vaqueros’ belts, Mexican cousins of cow-boys.

There’s a similar, and older, folklore south of Texas, even though less known in the West, maybe because it wasn’t popularized by Hollywood. The vaqueros aesthetics revolve around the same garments and themes than cowboys’ ones, with a heated, more latin touch added to it. Style-looking, clothes may be embroidered, there are more patterns on fabrics and colors on outfits.

The collab belt uses a distinctive brown tooled leather that’s indeed the trademark of Mexican style belts and boots, with vegetal pattern on the surface made into relief. The 3 parts of the brass buckle are also crafted in that style, and as always, by hand in our Italian laboratory. The Western touch is amplified by the shrinkage around the buckle.

True to our roots, this belt is also a wink to the 80’s Milanese paninaros who used to wear this type of belt, in outfits mixing American workwear and European sportswear. So fond of it, they even lifted their sweaters and shirts to let it be visible.

Like them, wear it with casual classics, or to break the formality of sharp formal suits, jackets and pleated flannels. Even better, pair it with the collab’s jacket and finish the outfit with a simple but always right Canadian tuxedo.
